Thank you for trusting Magnolia Marketing to bring your branding dreams to life! To make this process as seamless for you as possible, we’ve made this page for you to reference throughout your project so you know exactly what to expect during your time with us.
A Breakdown of Our Process

Before your project begins you’ll receive questionnaires to fill in. We require these to be submitted no later than 2 business days from your project start date.

On the first day of your project we’ll sit down together to discuss your branding and design direction in depth!

You get to relax while we build our you brand and/or website!

When we are ready to submit your designs for approval you will receive an online presentation and revisions forms for any changes.

Once we have received your final approval we will send you all files and offboarding information.
If we’re designing your website we will sit down together for a training session and send your website live!

Your Project Prep
We believe in creating intentional designs. That means building something that truly encapsulates your business and resonates not only with you but with your customers too. Your questionnaires will cover everything from brand strategy to design preferences. Depending on your project package these questionnaires may include:

Important: We require all questionnaires to be submitted at least 2 business days prior to your project start date. This gives us time to review and prepare all materials we’ll need for our Discovery Session together!
Discovery Session
Your discovery session will be scheduled for the morning or afternoon of your project start date. We’ll meet together via Zoom to go over questions, ideas, and concepts. If there are areas in the questionnaire that you’ve struggled with, this is where we’ll brainstorm together to find answers.
During this call, we’ll present a moodboard with visual concepts specific to your project and get your real-time feedback on what you do and don’t like. This helps ensure we understand exactly what you’re envisioning for your brand.
Design Development
After we’ve brainstormed together we’ll get started on creating! During this time, we’ll be reaching out to you with any questions or if we need additional information. In order to stay on track and deliver your project on time we ask that we receive your answer questions or feedback within 12-24 hours.
Presentations and Approvals
There may be several points in your project where deliverables are submitted to you for approval. Anything we submit for your review will be sent via form through your design hub. This form will often include video walkthroughs of your project and a visual presentation and will have a dedicated section for you to input any notes, feedback or changes!

Revision Process
While our goal is to create designs that you fall in love with instantly, revisions are a normal and expected part of the design process! We welcome your feedback and the opportunity to work collaboratively together. In your contract we have outlined how many rounds of revisions are included in your project.
To make the most of your revisions, please read the next section titled ‘Revision Best Practices’. This helps us to efficiently and effectively integrate your feedback!
Revision Best Practices

The key to brands that work? A strong understanding of who your customers are, why they want your product or service, and what motivates them to act.
We want you to love your branding, but we also want your customers to love it. We take a strategy based approach and centre our design choices around a combination of the input we’ve received from you and research on your target audience.
As you review any design work, think about the people your business serves and how your branding or website will resonate with them.

It can be hard to pinpoint what isn’t working in a design, especially when you’re not a designer, but take some time to consider why a design or style may not be working for you. For example, your initial feeling may be ‘I don’t like this font’ but as you think on it more you may realize ‘I don’t like this font because it feels too bright and playful, and I want my brand to feel natural and cozy.’
Our biggest goal as designers is to make sure you love the final product so the more we’re able to understand why you do and don’t love certain things, the better we’ll be at creating your dream brand!

Creating a list of changes to submit helps you make the most out of your revisions! This way we can make all your changes in a single round, saving you from having to use up the allotted revisions in your package.

File Delivery & Launch
If you’re having your branding done by us, you’ll receive all your files via a Google Drive link as well as a video walking you through how to use each piece of your new branding.
For all website projects, you’ll receive a one hour live training session with us where we’ll walk you through your website and show you how to make changes to things like your text, images, and colours. During this training session, we may connect your billing, add your domain (if not already connected) or any other housekeeping items needed before formally sending your website live!
