Squarespace offers a few different pricing plans, and choosing the right one can save you time, money, and frustration later on. You can see a detail comparison of the Squarespace plans on their website HERE or read below!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Squarespace is in the process of rolling out a new plan structure. The pricing structures are similar, but have slightly different things included in them. If you see different options on your Squarespace account than those listed here, please go what is shown on your Squarespace account.

The Personal Plan:

This is the most affordable and includes the basics: a website with unlimited bandwidth, templates, mobile responsiveness, and SSL security. However, it doesn’t allow custom code, promotional pop-ups, or advanced integrations.

Note! Because this template includes custom code for advanced design and layout features, you will need to be on the Business Plan or higher in order for everything to function properly. The Personal Plan will NOT support these features.

The Business Plan:

This includes everything in the Personal plan, plus the ability to inject custom CSS/JavaScript, connect third-party tools (like mailing list providers), create promotional pop-ups, and access to basic e-commerce features (though Squarespace will charge a 3% transaction fee). This plan gives you much more flexibility and is what we recommend if you want to customize and scale.

Note! This is the minimum plan you must choose in order for the custom features of your website design to work.

The Commerce Plans (Basic and Advanced)

Designed for users who plan to run a full online store. These remove the transaction fees, offer more detailed product features (like subscriptions or abandoned cart recovery), and provide advanced analytics and customer accounts. If you’re building a product-based business, these are worth considering.

Monthly or Yearly?

Paying yearly will save you up to 30% a year (not including your 20% discount for your first year), so I usually recommend buying for one year at a time, however if you’re unsure if Squarespace is going to be the right fit for you, or want to test the waters first, you can start with monthly payments (you can always switch the yearly later on!).

So…which plan is right for you?

  • If you're a service-based business or want design and marketing flexibility, go with the Business plan.

  • If you're launching an online store, consider starting with the Basic Commerce plan.

You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, so no stress if you decide you need to switch your plan. You’re not locked in forever!

You’ll also receive an automatic 20% discount on annual plans during your first year if you sign up through a new account.
